Michelle Carli and Janice Provenzano with Carli & Co and A Nosh with Nonna, have selected 3 courses to prepare and enjoy with you.

Tiramisu: We're starting with dessert!

Made with lady fingers, coffee, mascarpone cheese, rum, cocoa and chocolate. Delicious ingredients for a delicious dessert. We will make individual Tiramisu for you to enjoy at home. But … we will enjoy Tiramisu prepared by Michelle after dinner.

Insalata di Cipolle e Rucola: This dish will tempt your taste buds.

A fresh arugula salad with caramelized sweet onions and shaved romano cheese. The dressing includes fresh lemon juice, creamed garlic and olive oil.

Penne a la Vodka: As the name suggests combines penne produced locally in Melrose by Seven Hills Pasta and vodka tomato cream sauce. We'll bring San Marzano tomatoes, heavy cream, parma proscuitto and parmesan cheese both imported from Italy, and fresh basil together to make a delicious pink sauce.

If you choose feel free to bring along a bottle of your favorite wine.

Ciao!

I'm Janice, “Nonna”, to my many grandchildren. In my family, our daily lives and simple celebrations involve lots and lots of cooking and good food. It brings us all together, doing what we love while enjoying each other’s time and winding down each day and celebrating occasions large and small.

I want to bring the beauty of simple every day italian to you and yours.

Together we will prepare and enjoy:

Two Appetizers:

A Winter Bruschetta: With mushrooms, gruyere and thyme. Served on a warm baguette locally baked at The Bread Shop in Wakefield.

Fig, Bacon and Goat Cheese Crostini: Savory and sweet starter. With fig jam, bacon and goat cheese locally handcrafted by the Vermont Creamery. Served on a toasted baguette locally baked at The Bread Shop in Wakefield.

We'll enjoy a glass of wine paired to complement our meal. recommended by our export Nasty Nonni’s of Saugus.

Two Entrees:

Penne a la Vodka: As the name suggests combines penne produced locally in Melrose by Seven Hills Pasta and vodka tomato cream sauce. All of this in 30 minutes to prepare and enjoy.

Shrimp Scampi: A simple and elegant meal with 15 minutes of prep. White wine , garlic, butter, shrimp, lemon and of course olive oil is all you need to make this delicious Scampi. Serve over a local crusty bread or pasta and enjoy.

Some Extra Treats:

Fried Artichoke Hearts: A favorite at my house this is a quick great appetizer or side dish. Dipped in egg and cheese, rolled in flavored crumbs and lightly fried. We use canned artichoke hearts for a quick and delicious tidbit.

And of course dessert will be served. We'll have a tray of my Homemade Italian Cookies and a little sweet to take home with you.

All About the Apple:

Everyone looks forward to fall in New England with cool weather, warm sweaters, our favorite comfort foods and of course apple picking! New England is gorgeous right now and bursting with an amazing fall bounty that we want to help you enjoy.

Please join us on Oct 25 for a night of fall food, drinks and fun as Chef Dave Kroouze takes you through how to make the most of all of those delicious apples.

Throughout the evening we’ll be using a variety of local apples from Kimball Fruit Farm Stand in Pepperell, NH.

We’ll start the night out using our apples to make and taste some of Chef Dave’s favorite fall beverages for everyone including;

-  Bourbon mulled cider with Kimball local cider

-  Mulled Cider with Kimball local cider

-  Sampling Local Hard Apple Cider  

Next Chef Dave will give you the gift of our local harvest for months to come Canning Scratch Apple Sauce, taking you through both making the sauce and the canning demo.

He’ll also work with you on how to make Caramel Apple Butter. Each student will bring home their own freshly canned apple sauce and caramel apple butter goodness.

To round out the class we will be taking the apple savory and sweet with everyone making their own Apple Onion Galettes, a rustic, free-form tart.

About Chef Dave: Chef Dave Kroouze comes to Food Revolution with over 20 years kitchen leadership and culinary experience that spans across cuisines and dining styles. He has perfected the authentic Upstate buffalo wing, aged mead, brewed beer, and is relentless in his pursuit of perfectly smoked pork. Restaurants on his resume include Harvest, the Windsor House inn, and NoLo Bar & Bistro. He is now coming out of the restaurant to share the love, art and skill of cooking with you.
