In the New England area we have a rich landscape of local food co-packing & resources. However navigating what’s available and the right fit for small local food products can be a time and financial intensive process to the extent that the lack of clear information is often a deterrent to growth and scale. Our goal with this internship project is to create transparency around the resources that are available, build bridges with organizations that seem the best fit for the size and type of businesses in our space and build out this channel to create a clear & financially sustainable path to scaling.
Responsibilities would include:
Final deliverable: A vetted list with accompanying requirements of co-packers and distributors in the area that would align with the size and type of businesses working at Food Rev.
Steps will include, but are not limited to:
· Researching the landscape of co-packers and distributors within a 50 - 100 mile radius
· Connecting with a vetted and aligned list. Vetting with Food Rev business partners and owner.
o In person meetings with a few of the top partners
· Compiling the guardrails and requirements for both co-packing and distributors.
· Pull resource materials together
· Present resource materials to Food Rev business members and owner

Food Rev Kitchen is a mission-driven woman-owned, shared culinary space, north of Boston in Stoneham, MA. We strive to create a welcoming space for local food businesses to test their concept and build their base. Our work is driven by the belief in what you can learn when you’re small and nimble and the impact of bringing diverse and typically underrepresented voices can have on the greater food system. At Food Rev we keep our costs low, so businesses are able to tinker and learn with low financial risk. We continually work to create a bubble of support and accelerated learning through formal and informal programming. We (like our businesses) are an evolving WIP but always with this in mind.
